The Five Parts of the Davis Program

1. The Assessment

The assessment evaluates the client’s needs and goals and determines if he or she is a suitable candidate for a Davis program.  Unlike other high-stress testing environments, this assessment is a very casual and comfortable process designed to put the client at ease.  If it is determined to be a good fit, a Davis program tailored to individual challenges will be recommended and questions will be answered to your satisfaction in order to move forward.  The assessment typically takes 2 -3 hours.

2. The Program

The assessment will let the facilitator know what program will best suit the needs of the individual. For more detailed information on each program, click on the links below:

  • The Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program is usually a five-day program and normally given Monday to Friday. Clients work one-on-one an average of 6 hours a day. This can vary depending on the age and maturity of the client. Younger kids may work only 4-5 hours and require more days to complete the program.
  • The Davis® Math Mastery Program usually takes between five and eight days. It normally starts on a Monday. Generally, clients are 10-yrs or older and able to work 6 hours a day.
  • The Davis® Attention Mastery Program is usually a five-day program and normally given Monday to Friday. Clients work one-on-one an average of 6 hours a day. This can vary depending on the age and maturity of the client. Younger kids may work only 4-5 hours and require more days to complete the program.
  • The Davis® Reading Program for Young Learners (Ages 5 – 7) is usually a two-week, half-day program.  The Facilitator will work directly with the child, and at the same time provide hands-on training and guidance to a participating parent or other family member.

3. Support Training

On the last afternoon, the client’s family members, tutors, or friends will be trained to assist in the follow-up exercises to ensure post-program success. Clients will be provided with all the necessary take-home materials.

4. Follow-Up Exercises

The client applies what was learned and does follow-up exercises at home to continue to build on his or her success.

5. Review

To assist the client in transitioning back to school, work, and everyday routine, clients are able to connect with Stephanie weekly for a month via phone or Skype.  These visits are usually 30-60 minutes long and provide an opportunity to report on successes and receive additional recommendations to ensure the best results from the program. After that first month, up to 6 hours of in-office reviews are available as needed.  Stephanie is always available for unlimited email and phone consultations. Your success is her success!
